City could buy land and donate it to developer for 364 apartments

The city of Sunrise could purchase several properties and sell them to Affiliated Development in order to facilitate an apartment project, which would include workforce housing.

The City Commission will consider approval of the letter of intent with Fort Lauderdale-based Affiliated Development, via affiliate the Palms Apts LLC, on Oct. 27. If approved, the city manager would be authorized to execute the contract with the developer without another vote before the City Commission.
