A New Chapter: North Shore Library Set to Transform Bayside Community

The North Shore Library in Bayside is undergoing a $9.5 million transformation into a 24,000-square-foot modern facility. Scheduled to open in summer 2025, the library will offer innovative community spaces and amenities, including cozy reading nooks, areas for children and teens, a 24-hour gathering space, a community room, and even a gaming area. The project, which serves four North Shore communities—River Hills, Glendale, Bayside, and Fox Point—will also feature apartment buildings above the library, creating a vibrant, interconnected space. While construction is progressing rapidly, additional funding is needed to complete the project.
