Inspired by the broad horizons and layered topography of Wisconsin’s Driftless Region, The Emmett is expressed as a distinctly horizontal building that settles into and responds to the surrounding landscape. Its massing creates a strong urban edge within the masterplan while opening toward trails, landscape, and shared outdoor spaces that connect residents to the natural setting. A pronounced entry moment establishes the building as a recognizable landmark within the community, while shifts in massing and scale reinforce the transition between neighborhood and nature. Together, these moments give The Emmett an identity that is both distinctly its own and deeply rooted in place.
