CAMP MINIKANI KYBO

RINKA designed a new KYBO, a toilet shower building, for teenage campers at YMCA’s Camp Minikani in Hubertus, WI. The design of the building minimizes disturbance to the surrounding woods and the building configuration was intentionally situated within the existing forest to reduce tree removal.  The KYBO consists of a central entry point to promote interaction between campers with restrooms on one side of the central entrance and 12 showers and sinks on the other.  The entire facility meets all required accessibility standards.  The building is constructed of all-natural materials and sustainably harvested wood through the Forestry Stewardship Council Managed Forest Lands.
